In 1969, trumpet player/vocalist Jose Cuadra assembled a group of musicians to join a nine-piece band. Before long, Cold Duck was performing its way into the Southern California music scene establishing itself as The Premier Dance Band. In 1971 this successful stint as L.A.’s number one band led itself into a first place finish at the East Los Angeles College “Battle of the Bands”. To this date, Cold Duck has enjoyed continued success with appearances from San Diego to Santa Barbara at such locations as Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Magic Mountain and also NBC, ABC and MGM Studios.
